In the local timber mill there is the longest (36,83) board in the world. The board comes from the tree cut in 2002. It is in the Guiness Book of World Records. It weighs about 1 100 kilograms. A table for 200 people was made from it. It was hand cut for 9 days – 16 hours a day – and 14 saws were used to do it. The last cut was made by President Lech Wałęsa. The board can be seen at Danmar timber mill.
